Desert Disappearing Acts

2019, using a combination of watercolor, permanent marker, and whiteout, this work explores the Joshua Tree as a symbol of our loss, holding onto the shape and silhouette of the tree, as both a container of our memories and a reminder of the power we have to shape the future narratives in the landscapes in which we are immersed.
